2025-2026 Board of Directors Application - NOW OPEN (closes at 5:00 p.m. on April 22)

Thank you for your interest in serving on the board of the Plano ISD Education Foundation. Since 1993, the Foundation has worked to help all students in the Plano Independent School District achieve their full potential by providing financial support to educators and academic programs. Board members are the fiduciaries who steer the organization towards a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical, and legal governance and financial management policies, as well as by making sure the Foundation has the resources needed to advance its mission of supporting the students, families and staff of Plano ISD.

The Foundation creates a vibrant coalition of community, educators and local businesses to raise funds through tax-deductible contributions. The funds support academic programs to achieve excellence in science and math, to bridge the gap for economically disadvantaged students and provide educator grants to create innovative teaching programs.

Members of the Plano ISD Education Foundation Board of Directors agree to a Code of Conduct, as well as certain responsibilities. Members serve for a three-year term beginning in July of each year. Board members are asked to serve on one of the many committees that help the Foundation to meet our annual goals. Those committees include: Finance, Executive, Governance, Development, SKI Plano and Staging the Future (Robinson Fine Arts Center Endowment). Board meetings are generally held monthly (except for July and December) on the 3rd Friday of the month from 8:00-9:30am. Below are links to more information regarding service on the board.
