Employee Benefits
Part-time employees who work between 10 and 24 hours per week are eligible to enroll in a medical plan, but are not eligible for the PISD contribution towards the premium. Part-time employees who enroll in a medical plan must pay the total monthly premium. (Substitutes, long-term subs, student
help, adult temps, volunteers, etc., are not eligible for benefits).
When Can You Enroll?
- Within 30 days of starting part-time employment; or
- Within 60 days of a qualified
change in status; or
- During the annual open enrollment
period (November) each year, for benefits to begin January 1 of
the following year.
