The Plano ISD is committed to providing you with a comprehensive
group health plan. You may select
the benefit options that best meet your needs. For the most part,
you make the decisions that control the cost and amount
of health care services you use. However, using preferred providers
and the flexible benefit plan can further reduce your health care
costs.
TRS Long-Term Care Insurance
An open enrollment period is available until November 15, 2009. During this period, employees and their spouses may apply with limited or no medical underwriting, depending on the applicant's age and plan choices. This is a limited time offer and will not be available each year with the same terms.

An employee benefit committee works throughout the year with the benefits department staff and a
professional health care consulting firm to monitor the Plan. This committee of employees
represents teachers, paraprofessionals, food and nutritional services,
transportation, facility services, and administrators. We all work together to provide a quality health care plan
for you and your family.
