The Plano ISD is committed to providing you with a comprehensive
group health plan. You may select
the benefit options that best meet your needs. For the most part,
you make the decisions that control the cost and amount
of health care services you use. However, using preferred providers
and the flexible benefit plan can further reduce your health care
costs.
Long Term Care Insurance
The special enrollment period for long term care insurance sponsored by TRS has been extended to December 15. During this time employees and family members may apply with no underwriting or with streamlined underwriting depending on your age and the plan you choose.

An employee benefit committee works throughout the year with the benefits department staff and a
professional health care consulting firm to monitor the Plan. This committee of employees
represents teachers, paraprofessionals, food and nutritional services,
transportation, facility services, and administrators. We all work together to provide a quality health care plan
for you and your family.
