Amy Semifero Academy High SchoolAmy Semifero, Academy High School facilitator, has received the 2016-17 Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) Senior High School Outstanding Art Educator Award.

Laura Grundler, visual arts coordinator, has glowing things to say about Amy. "Amy Semifero joined Plano ISD at Williams High School in 2001 as a recent graduate of UT Austin and quickly became a leader in the visual arts. Her talent for working with young artists and organizing the art team at Williams set her apart. I had the privilege of working side-by-side with Amy for seven years; she has a passion for teaching and commitment to professional learning that is unparalleled. I look forward to being with her at the upcoming State Texas Art Educators Association Conference, as she is awarded the Outstanding Art Educator in the Senior High Division. She puts her heart into her profession and is truly deserving of this honor." read

Jim Keller retired from a corporate high-pressure life and says he “enjoyed 35 days of retirement.” After that he decided to “try” driving a bus and 10 years later he is still at it, driving special needs and Head Start students. He enjoys the students’ smiles and says he went from a stressful career to “having fun. I love it.” read
