Achievements

Vines High School has a long-standing tradition of excellence.  During the past 10 years, over 200 Vines students have been named National Merit Semifinalists/Finalists.  Our strong fine arts programs have garnered Sweepstakes and First Place Medals in a variety of contests each year.  Speech and theatre have maintained a long tradition of success, and our art students regularly place at numerous competitions throughout the metroplex.  Our athletics teams are extremely competitive.  In addition, numerous students play at the varsity level for Plano Senior High School.

Campus Programs

Advanced Placement and Pre-AP coursework, AVID, Athletics, cheerleading, drill team, Student Council, Peer Assisted Leadership (PAL), yearbook, Whiz Quiz, speech and theatre, French Club, German Club, Latin Club, Spanish Club, LASER Club, Crimestoppers, American Sign Language Club, Medical Science and HOSA, National Honor Society, Texas Future Teachers Association, Multicultural Club, KEYS Program and R.O.T.C.

Parent Involvement Opportunities

Parents are encouraged to be involved at Vines High School. Membership in our PTSA, as well as many booster clubs, allows parents to be an integral part of the life of our school. Many volunteer opportunities are available to our parents and community members.
