About Beaty Early Childhood School
Plano ISD opened Beaty Early Childhood School to serve preschool students, offering a quality preschool program for children ages three to five.
The school allows the district to meet the state-mandated guidelines for prekindergarten students and the least restrictive environment mandate for preschool special education students as required by state and federal law.
Students may enroll under three different criteria: 1) Tuition-Supported Prekindergarten, OR, one of the following two state and federal programs: 2) Prekindergarten, OR 3) Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities (PPCD).
Students are eligible for the state funded prekindergarten program if they arelimited-English speaking, homeless, from families that qualify for free or reduced lunch, or military dependents. Students must be 4 years of age by September 1st of the current school year.
Students may attend the Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities if they are eligible for special education services. Eligibility is determined after assessment by the Preschool EvaluationTeam located at Beaty. Children are eligible for services on their third birthday.
Parents of tuition-supported prekindergarten students will be responsible to provide transportation for their children and may apply to have their child attend the campus of their choice.
In addition to a quality preschool program, Beaty has as active Parent Teacher Association (PTA).
