Early Childhood Registration
Plano ISD's state-mandated
prekindergarten program serves children who are four years of age
on or before
September
1 and
who are
limited-English
speaking, from families that qualify for free or reduced lunch, military dependents or
who have been in the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services.
The program serves Spanish and Chinese bilingual children, other
English-Language Learners, and children from families that meet
the income guidelines.
Eligible students attend this program at no cost to the family.
If you believe your child may be eligible for this program based
on limited English proficiency, click on our Language Assessment Center Testing Schedule  (49K) for additional information. Children attend a morning or afternoon session.

Registration for State-Mandated

Please bring the following documents to registration.
- Birth certificate
- Immunization records
- Social Security card for the child, if available.
- Proof of residency in Plano ISD (gas, electric bill or a lease)
- Bring child for language assessment 469-752-8874
- Military Dependents (Department of Defense ID required)

Note: Students will register according to last
name as follows:
- Last
Names A through L, 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
- Last names M
through Z, 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Chinese Bilingual Prekindergarten Program
The Chinese Bilingual Prekindergarten Program is located at Harrington
Elementary and serves students from across the district. Registration will take place beginning March 27, 2008.
