Facilities & Technology Study Task Force
to Host Public Hearing on December 17

logoThe Plano ISD Facilities and Technology Study Task Force will host a public input session beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 17, at Plano Senior High School's Doyle Dean Performing Arts Center, 2200 Independence Parkway in Plano. The community task force, chaired by Rebecca Egelston Caso, was appointed by the Plano ISD Board of Trustees to review enrollment trends and projections, establish construction and renovation needs, visit school facilities and validate costs in anticipation of a potential 2016 bond election. Plano ISD Foundation Surprises Educators with $125,000 in Grants to Fund Innovative Instructional Programs

Plano ISD Education Foundation board members, sponsors, district staff and parent leaders delivered $125,000 in monetary awards on November 12 to fund 97 innovative instructional programs. Employees Donate $125,500 to United Way

United Way agencies will benefit from more than $125,500 raised during the school district's United Way campaign, helping to ensure that critical services are available to individuals and families in need of assistance in North Texas. 'Project Lead The Way' National Certification

Plano ISD high schools and senior highs have received national certification for their Project Lead The Way (PLTW) programs offered since 2011 at the six high schools and since 2013 at the three senior high schools. PLTW is a nonprofit organization that provides a transformative learning experience for K-12 students and teachers. READ
