Plano ISD Students Capture Majority of Awards
at Dallas Regional Science and Engineering Fair

Eighty-one Projects Advance to State Fair; Nine to International Fair
Plano ISD students participating in the Dallas Regional Science and Engineering Fair on February 21 captured the majority of grand prize and category awards. Eighty-one of their projects are advancing to the ExxonMobil State Science & Engineering Fair to be held March 26-29 in San Antonio. Nine award winning projects will compete at the Intel International Science & Engineering Fair May 10-15 in Pittsburgh, PA. Students Build Learning Skills During Engineers Week
Elementary students across the district celebrated National Engineers Week February 22-28. This special week provided an opportunity to celebrate the various ways that engineering affects people, from the tools that make our lives simpler to the incredible designs that change the way we live. Foreign Language Coordinator Wins National Award
For the past decade, Greta Lundgaard has focused on improving the curriculum, instruction and assessment for Plano ISD's LOTE (Language Other Than English) program. "The dedication and success Greta has experienced in Plano is awe inspiring," said a peer who nominated her for National Foreign Language Supervisor of the Year - an award that she proudly accepted in November, 2014. read

Employees Donate $104k to Education Foundation
logoPlano ISD employees once again gave generously during the "61 Thousand Reasons to Give" annual employee giving campaign to benefit students and teachers through the Plano ISD Education Foundation. One-hundred percent of schools and departments participated in the campaign, with 2,425 employees contributing a total of $104,000. Read a list of "goal busters" on our website. read

Alumni Association to Host 2nd Annual Golf Tournament
The Plano ISD Alumni Association, presenting sponsor Baylor Regional Medical Center at Plano and platinum sponsor InTouch Credit Union announce the 2nd Annual Alumni Golf Tournament to be held on Monday, March 30, at Gleneagles Country Club.
