Plano ISD Eboloa Awareness Update
Plano ISD continues to follow the changing news related to the Ebola cases in Dallas. This is an update to our previous community report.
In full disclosure, we have been told that there were Plano ISD students from Shepton High School and Plano West Senior High School who were on the outbound Frontier Airlines flight from Dallas to Ohio being reported in the news. We have been in communication with these families and they have been assessed as "no risk." These passengers are under no restrictions.
We received notification from the Collin County Health Department today confirming there has been no change to the district's classification of "no risk" due to the referenced flight. We commit to remain in contact if any details change in regard to Plano ISD's "no risk" status.
We encourage our parents and students to become informed by visiting the Centers for Disease Control website at http://www.cdc.gov/vhf/ebola. Along with you, we will continue to monitor this important healthcare issue in an effort to keep our students, staff and families healthy and focused on learning.
