The Plano ISD Board of Trustees will host a public input session at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, February 6, at Plano Senior High School (Lecture Hall, Room B250), 2200 Independence Parkway, Plano, to hear from the community regarding thoughts and ideals to assist in developing a superintendent candidate profile. An opportunity to e-mail feedback to the school board was extended through February 3, and an additional feedback opportunity is now available through February 17 via this online survey. Take the survey, and follow the superintendent search time line on our district website.
The Board of Trustees has received input from focus groups via Thompson & Horton, School Executive Consulting, Inc., which serves as the executive firm for our superintendent search. The guiding questions/prompts used for those focus groups and our public surveys are listed below:
- What are the strengths of the Plano ISD community?
- What are challenges in the school district and broader community?
- Please describe various professional characteristics of an ideal superintendent candidate for Plano ISD.
- Please describe personal attributes of an ideal superintendent candidate for Plano ISD.
- Provide any additional input you would like for the Plano ISD Board of Trustees to consider when selecting the superintendent.
Plano ISD Education Foundation Announces Record-Breaking 'Ski Plano' Fundraising Gala

The Plano ISD Education Foundation is pleased to report that its fundraising gala, "Ski Plano 2012," broke records for revenue and attendance. The Ski Plano Lodge once again overtook Southfork Ranch in Parker for the sold out event on Saturday, January 28. Event proceeds will benefit the programs of the Foundation for the 55,000 students of Plano ISD. More than 800 guests wore their favorite ski sweaters and jeans, danced the night away to two live bands and browsed the slopes of astonishing auction items.  |
