Plano ISD to Challenge Changes to Uniform GPA Guidelines - School administrators from Plano ISD will travel to Austin on September 17 to share concerns regarding changes to the “Uniform Grade Point Average Guidelines” proposed by an ad-hoc committee of the Texas Higher Education Board. Concerns include the exclusion of higher weighting for Honors/Pre-AP/International Honors courses and the equal weighting of dual credit courses with AP/IB courses. The new rules would affect current seniors who are applying for admission for the 2009 fall semester to a Texas public college or university.
