Presenter: Richard Matkin
Purpose: A - Request decision - closure required
Time: No time limit
Description:
Bids for the following items were advertised, received, and opened by the Purchasing Services Department. The appropriate department has evaluated all bids and forwarded their recommendation to Purchasing Services to be reviewed for compliance with Educational Code 44.031 and School Board Policy.
This is a compliance bid for the purchase and/or installation of video monitor brackets for all District locations. This is the first year of a renewable bid.
Technology staff members evaluated this bid. The District has an abundance of brackets currently in stock, so a greater emphasis was placed on labor rates for installation. Items #1 through #8 average no more than 5 purchases per year over the past 3 years. ABBA, Inc. offered lower installation and service costs, while Best Buy offered the lowest cost for the brackets. Staff performed a cost analysis based on estimated annual purchases and installations of specified brackets. It was determined that ABBA, Inc. offered the lowest overall annual cost. ABBA, Inc. indicated that they would not accept a split award.
Tab sheet available as an attachment.
