l. Agreement for services to equalize the wealth between Region 8 Education Service Center and Plano IS

Description:

The District has negotiated an agreement with Region 8 ESC for services related to the equalization of wealth (recapture payment). By using Region 8 ESC services, the District anticipates selling an estimated 5,100 weighted average daily attendance (WADA) through Option 4 agreements. The estimated savings to the District through these agreements is $739,000. The District will pay Region 8 ESC for administrative services in the amount of $8.00 per WADA sold in regard to contracts flowing through the Region 8 ESC.

Recommendation:

The Administration recommends the approval of an Agreement between Region 8 Education Service Center and Plano ISD.
