Purpose: A - Request decision - closure required
Time: No time limit
Description:
This is a compliance bid for the purchase of baseball and softball infield conditioning materials and service work for all District locations. This is the first year of a renewable bid.
The Facility Services Bid Committee has reviewed this bid and recommended the award be split. Both vendors offer quality products. The Committee is satisfied with the work performed by Master Turf on the previous bid and the references for BWI Companies were positive. Both vendors agree to accept a split award. BWI Companies will supply material only when a project will be performed by District staff. Master Turf was the sole bidder for installation labor, and they will supply as well as perform all projects which require outsourced installation.
Staff also recommends that the bidders offering discounts from catalog price be awarded.
