Purpose: A - Request decision - closure required

Time: No time limit

Description:

Bids for the following items were advertised, received, and opened by the Purchasing Department. The appropriate department has evaluated all bids and forwarded their recommendation to the Purchasing Department to be reviewed for compliance with Educational Code 44.031 and School Board Policy.

This is a compliance bid for the purchase of replacement HVAC equipment for all District locations. This is the first year of a renewable bid.

Additional description: The Facility Services Bid Committee has reviewed this bid and recommends that all bidders be awarded. This recommendation is based on the quality of the goods from all bidders. The HVAC equipment specified on this bid will be replaced on an "As Needed" basis. District Maintenance Staff can request quotes from all vendors for the specific equipment when new equipment is required. This allows Staff to select the product with the best value that best fits each project. Tab sheet attached.

Recommendation:

The Administration recommends that the bid for the purchase of HVAC Equipment be awarded to:
Barsco - ALL, Discount Off Catalog Pricing;
Carrier North Texas - ALL, Discount Off Catalog Pricing;
Texas AirSystems - ALL.

Business Impact:

Estimated Value: $120,000.00.
Budget/Financial Implication: HVAC Supply and Contracted Service Budgets.
Evaluation Criteria: Price; Vendor Reputation; Vendor History with the District; Quality of Vendor's Service; Best Meets the Needs of the District.
