Description:
This is a compliance bid that will establish approved vendors and pricing for the purchase of business cards, NCR forms and miscellaneous printing throughout the District. This is a nine-month contract with an option to renew or to be combined with the recently awarded Custom Printing Bid 3781.
Item #1: Staff recommends awarding the lowest bidder, Thompson Quick Print
Item #2: The low bid from Red Roof Ventures is not recommended. When factoring in their additional cost for cutting, it is actually less expensive to award the next low bidder, Thompson's Quick Print. Thompson's does not charge for cutting. Our average order for NCR forms is 25 forms or less. Cutting is very often requested. Red Roof Ventures' cost per form for two and three-part forms with cutting charges is higher than Thompson's charge. Although this is not true for the four-part form, the request for four-part forms requiring cuts is very rare.
Item #3: Staff recommends awarding all bidders that submitted a discount. Red Roof Ventures "no bid" the item and is not recommended.
