h. Reschedule May board meetings

Purpose: A - Request decision - closure required

Time: No time limit

Description:

Normally the Board's business meeting is scheduled for the first Tuesday of the month with a work session on the third Tuesday. The administration is recommending that the Board reverse this schedule for May so that the May 12 school board election results may be canvassed on May 15. This will also allow more time to identify any budgetary ramifications of the legislative session, finalize the recommendation for the 2007-08 compensation plan and advertise the budget hearing and adoption of the budget at the June meeting.

Recommendation:

Schedule the May board meetings as follows: May 1 - work session May 15 - business meeting
